Our full-time on-site Medical Director, Staff Physician and Physician Assistant work hard to maintain the health of our residents and to keep families informed. When necessary we call in Consultants from various medical specialties. In addition, we provide a wide range of special services in-house including dentistry, ophthalmology, clinical laboratory services, x-rays, EKG's and sonograms.
Physical, occupational and speech therapists evaluate each new admission. The Rehab Team designs a regimen of therapy which addresses the ability of the resident to ambulate and perform the activities of daily living. Respiratory and massage therapists are also available.
All residents receive 24-hours nursing care seven days a week under the direction and supervision of competent clinical registered nurses.
Social workers are available to meet with resident and families to provide necessary assistance and counseling in making their stay a favorable and positive experience.
Clinical dieticians are on staff and available to customize residents' dietary requirements coupled with their food preferences.
We recognize, respect and celebrate the spiritual values of all religious traditions. The Spiritual Care department, offers spiritual and emotional support to all who wish to receive it at Providence Rest. We recognize, respect and celebrate the spiritual values of all religious as witnessed in the lives of our residents. Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated three times a week for our residents. It is also televised throughout the house for those who cannot come down for the Mass. Sunday Mass is a Parish Liturgy open to the community. Holy Communion is available daily. Each month we hold a prayer service in honor of a theme of spiritual and religious importance. The Eucharistic Chapel on the first floor is open 24 hours a day for prayer and meditation. People of all religious backgrounds call Providence Rest their home. We Provide:
Resident's social interests, talents, and hobbies are met through various on site and off site programs. The facility offers art therapy, music appreciation, movement/exercise groups, cooking clubs, shopping sprees, cultural events, sewing, movies, poetry, reading and field trips. Parties are frequent and festive at Providence Rest. Residents regularly enjoy music and dancing at special events. In addition, we recognize Residents' birthdays celebrations.

interdisciplinary health care team establishes an individualized plan of care
for each resident based on assessment, observation, interview, testing,
examination and history. The team meets regularly to adjust the care plan
to the changing needs of each individual entrusted to us. Our goal is to
provide an environment in which each resident can achieve the highest possible
level of physical, social, psychological and spiritual well being.
