The Department extends itself in meeting each person's need for the familiar experience of her/his religious tradition and enables the individual to use the resources of her/his faith in coping with illness and health problems. The Spiritual Care Department is available for the Resident/Family and Staff in extending support and spiritual counseling. The Spiritual Care Department of Providence Rest serves the spiritual needs of all people regardless of race, color or creed and when needed will make arrangements for visits from their pastors, rabbi or protestant ministers. We are committed to providing the special touch that make for a full and happy life.

o Care means to be interested, concerned, responsible and
attentive to the needs of another. We, in Spiritual Care, are ever
conscious that leaving home and loved ones is often a traumatic experience both
for the individual and family members. Therefore we seek to assist in
making this difficult time as comfortable as possible, so that the
Resident/Family Members, come to the realization that in an atmosphere of caring
there is opportunity for growth, support and courage rooted in one's faith.
