We use the train the trainer approach and also run monthly mandatory in-services which are presented on a rotation basis. All department managers are responsible for presenting mandatory in-services Throughout the year guest speakers, vendor representatives and members of other health care organizations provide special programs, In addition we encourage participation in outside training, seminars and conferences. Providence Rest has also cultivated and an educational relationship with local Colleges. The facility is been utilized as a teaching and mentoring ground for social work students, both the Baccalaureate and Master levels. It is our mission to insure that each resident receives the necessary care and services to attain or maintain their highest practical physical, mental, spiritual and psychological well-being. CQI focuses on the systems in place that provide the delivery of services while staff development focuses on providing the skill, tools and education required to accomplish this end.
