Dear Friend,

As we begin the Lenten Season, Pope Francis tells us, “Lent is a new beginning, a path towards continual conversion of Heart.” Here at Providence Rest, we see each day as a treasure on that path. We consider it our privilege to care for each person as God’s precious gift of life and love, and to minister with respect and dignity to each individual entrusted to us.

We hope you will join us on our Easter journey and continue to help support this important mission by remembering your family and friends with an Easter Lilly. As St. Alfonso Maria Fusco, Founder of the Sisters of St. John the Baptist says, “Don’t think of your salvation alone. God’s charity attracts the charity of others, they are like two rings in the same chain and two branches of the same Tree; they grow together.”

The joyful news at Easter is that the Lord is risen. Easter is a time which nourishes our Hope for the future and gives meaning to our daily lives. We hope you are inspired by the words of Pope Francis and St. Alfonso Maria Fusco and can find it in your heart to support our important mission with a generous gift while remembering your loved ones this Holy Season.

With prayerful best wishes,

Sister Seline Mary Flores, C.S.JB.                                                Joseph Sciame
Chief Executive Officer                                                      Chairman, Development Committee

UPDATE

I am writing to thank you for the generous support and assistance you have provided during this unconventional Easter Season. These are unprecedented times and we want to show our appreciation to those of you who have continued to support us during this pandemic. Without the generosity of loved ones, family, friends, and benefactors, we could not continue our mission of ministering the highest quality of care, with respect and dignity, to each individual entrusted to us.

We want to give a special thank you to those who have made donations in honor of our staff who are dedicated to working so hard to continue our mission to care for our community.

We hope that you and your family are staying safe and healthy during this time. May God’s loving hand touch you and may He continue to bless you abundantly this Easter season and always.

Sincerely in Christ,
PROVIDENCE REST
