Enjoying Each Day

Whether you or a loved one comes to Providence Rest for a Short-Term Rehabilitation stay or as a long-term resident, our goal is to provide a daily experience filled with outstanding medical and physical care, intellectual stimulation and emotional fulfillment. The Providence Rest experience is an interwoven fabric of care that includes physical and occupational therapies, a full slate of recreational opportunities and the intellectual and emotional benefits of being part of an inclusive community.

Our staff members are caring professionals committed to not only providing the finest care but also to engaging our patients and residents, interacting with them and continually drawing them into the Providence Rest community. Leaving the comfort and security of home and family can be traumatic and it is our goal to provide a new home and family that allows for a fulfilling and happy daily life.

We also tend to the spiritual needs of our patients and residents, led by our Sisters of St. John the Baptist. We offer Roman Catholic Mass three times a week, televised throughout the facility. Holy Communion is available daily and we hold a parish liturgy each Sunday which is open to the community. Our Eucharistic Chapel is open 24 hours a day and our clergy are always available to provide the Anointing of the Sick. In addition, each month we hold a special prayer service based on a spiritual or religious theme.

However, our patients and residents need not be Catholic to receive our spiritual care and participate in our faith-based activities. All are welcomed and embraced. We celebrate holidays throughout the year with interfaith programs.

Finally, counseling is available to patients, residents, and families 24 hours a day. Injury, illness or natural aging can be stressful at times and we are here to help you or your loved one cope when those challenging moments arise.
